Sunday–Little Lambs

This is my Little Lamb.  He just turned one, and I love him.

Here is another of my Lambs.  Lambs are cutest dressed in jammies.

This little Lamb is very precious.

And this Lamb-who isn’t so little–needs just as much love.

Some thoughts on Lambs.

“But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, . . it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom.” II Samuel 12:3

“Behold, the LORD GOD. . .HE shall feed his flock like a shepherd: HE shall gather the lambs with HIS arm, and carry them in HIS bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.”  Isaiah 40:11

“The LORD is my Shepherd;  I shall not want.  HE maketh me to lie down in green pastures:  HE leadeth me beside the still waters. . .”  Psalms 23:1-2

“Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path.”  Psalms 27:11

“For THOU art my rock and my fortress; therefore for THY name’s sake lead me, and guide me.”  Psalms 31:3

“Hear my cry, O GOD; attend unto my prayer.  From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed:  lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”  Psalms 61:1-2

“. . .even there (where ever you find yourself) shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.”  Psalms 139:10

“. . .lead me in the way everlasting.”  Psalms 139:24

“The LORD. . .I will lead them in paths that they have not known“:  I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight.”  Isaiah 42:16

“Thus saith the LORD, thy REDEEMER, . . I am the LORD thy GOD. . .which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.”  Isaiah 48:17

with much love,

Appreciate your verses. The Lord has entrusted you with these precious lambs and it is the highest priority and greatest privilege to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
I know this verse is talking about Israel, but we think it could apply to us too:
“And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels”. Malachi 3:17.
We have this verse with all our 7 newborn (beautiful) babies hanging up in my sewing room. I treasure it.
