My girls wore these jeans this spring, but when summer came, they needed more shorts. Here is my very, very, quick transformation.
I used chalk to mark my cutting lines. I based the length of the shorts on another pair that fit well.
Go ahead. Be brave and cut.
This is how the pants look now. I guess I have to go on.
Here’s the shorts. Just one more step.
My idea of how to finish the shorts came from these shorts.
So I used my wonderful Bernina machine to finish off the shorts.
Here they are. I didn’t try to fray the edges, as I guessed that one trip through the washing machine would automatically fray the edge for me.
Both shorts are now finished.
And here are the Sweethearts modeling them. Do you see Eloise’s jeans on the floor? Yep, they stayed right there. Sigh. Someday my kids will put their clothes away.
As much as I would like to post some photos of our recent trip west, I can’t as I lost my camera. Thankfully it was found under the bed at Grandpa and Grandma’s house.
Thanks for staying around,
