This photo was taken today. Isn’t it a treasure?
Mr. Ryan shares our Scottish heritage, and knows how to look the part. He also always appreciates it when my girls are dressed up.
As I was leafing through our Hymn Book today, I came across my favorite hymn. I hope you enjoy it.
Child of GOD, by CHRIST’S salvation,
Rise o’er sin, and fear, and care–
Joy to find in every station
Something still to do or bear;
Think what SPIRIT dwells within thee–
Think what FATHER’S smiles are thine–
Think that JESUS died to win thee–
Child of GOD wilt though repine?
. . .
Haste thee on from grace to glory,
Armed by faith and winged by prayer,
Heaven’s eternal day’s before thee,
GOD’s right hand shall guide thee there;
Soon shall close thine earthly mission,
Soon shall pass thy pilgrim days,
Hope shall change to glad fruition,
Faith to sight, and prayer to praise.

P.S. repine = to complain.
