She Said–Goodbye Baby, Hello Little Man

Today was a sad, sad, day.

Today my baby left me.

My golden-haired baby is forever gone.  And I think only Winnie-the-Pooh really understands how I feel.  Pooh said, “If you live to be 100, I hope I live to be 100 minus 1 day, so I never have to live without you.”

“Always watch where you are going. Otherwise, you may step on a piece of the Forest that was left out by mistake.”

“Promise me you’ll never forget me because if I thought you would I’d never leave.”

“Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. “Pooh,” he whispered.

“Yes, Piglet?”

“Nothing,” said Piglet, taking Pooh’s paw, “I just wanted to be sure of you.””

“”I wonder what Piglet is doing,” thought Pooh.
“I wish I were there to be doing it, too.”

“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.”

“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.”

Good-bye Baby boy.  Mommi will miss you.  Hello Little Man.  Mommi loves you.

I’m glad you still aren’t too big for a “bah-bee.”

“You can’t always sit in your corner of the forest and wait for people to come to you… you have to go to them sometimes.”–quoth Pooh.

A bitter-sweet day–rebecca

P.S.  He wasn’t the only one who changed his locks.

And now for the big finish. . .

Aww!!! Precious. Sad, but precious. JD looks so sweet and handsome! Clement looks so “thrilled” and Audrey looks ADORABLE! Great cuts!

He looked so “excited” through the whole process. Know the feeling! But he is still adorable!

Motherhood . . . such a bittersweet dance! Your children are darling ~ no matter the hair!

I am DREADING this day!! Mom keeps asking me (and she even did it in the middle of Breaking of Bread yesterday!) “when can I cut the twins hair?” I’m putting it off as long as I can!! And I get asked by so many why they still have bottles!! I have to keep them “babies” as long as I can or else that ‘certain itch’ I have is only going to get stronger and stronger!! Hugs to you!

I have to say that I cut Little Man’s hair because of peer preasure. You would think that with kid #4 I somehow wouldn’t be supseptible to it, but I am. After the deed was done, I realized that I hadn’t been ready. I know it is just a little thing, but I cut his hair because others thought I should, not because I thought I should. I don’t want to make a big deal out of it, but it was a little reminder to me that peer preasure parenting isn’t the best way to parent. (I am not talking about good godly advice here, it is important to listen to that.) About the bottle. I was embarassed that Eloise was three and still had a bottle. I asked Lily, my sister-in-law, “Can you help me get her off the bottle?” Her wise adsive was, “If you are trying to get her off the bottle because you are embarassed by what others think, that isn’t a good reason. Give me a good reason, and I will give you some tips.” I thought about it and after a bit realized that it was time to fight this battle. BUT I sure appreciated the wise advice from a mom a little further down the road than I. Now I get the lecture from my pediatrician everytime I go in. “NO MORE BOTTLES AFTER ONE!” Good medical advice. But for this family. . .we bottle until a little after three. I finally told my pediatrician that ,”I had to keep a bottle to stay sane.” She smiled and said, “Sanity is a good thing.” !!!
