MAY 13, 2012–FRIED CHICKEN TACOS
May 13, 2012 was Mother’s Day. On May 13th, I made Pioneer Woman’s FRIED CHICKEN TACOS (pg. 162)–only I used beef. I used some beef that I had frozen from the CARNITAS PIZZA recipe. I have made this recipe before. In fact it was my first blog posting about cooking. Check it out “My Gluten Free, Dairy-Free, Budget Concious Meal”.
The FRIED BEEF TACOS were delicious. Is there a fried food that isn’t?
For our Neighborhood Sunday School that day, we made cupcakes. Box cupcakes. The easy kind. It was still fun.
And while the Sunday School kids were eating them, I wrote a quick Mother’s Day post.
COMMENTS: As regards to being graded today on my cooking. . .today I get a “bye”. Today, being that I cooked on Mother’s Day, I get a “freebie” a “give-me”. A cake walk to first. Call it what ever you want, but today, I don’t get graded.
Thank you very much.
A Mommi 365 days out of the year,

I want to eat those cupcakes right now, please. Been craving baked goods so badly the past few days but am determined not to give in and make them until I have some company to share them with. Otherwise we all know what will happen 🙂 You are cruising thru that cook book, Mama!

Those taco’s look amazing. Too bad frying always makes my house stink for at least 24 hours. One of these days, (when our ship that’s lost at sea comes in) we’re getting a super-duper-mega-exhaust fan thingy.

I agree. Our microwave is right above our stove with a little itty, bitty, vent, that makes noise more than anything else. Next kitchen–like when?–BIG ‘OLE FAN!!!
